Tokelau climate
Tokelau is only a few degrees south of the equator. The archipelago therefore has a tropical climate that is only known from television, glossy brochures or illustrated books. Accordingly, the weather on the three atolls that make up Tokelau is constantly humid, humid and hot.

The mercury column averages 28.5 ° C annually. January and July are the coolest months, April and May the warmest. Due to the location close to the equator, the temperature differences between the individual months are extremely small. So it happens that the thermometer fluctuates more between day and night than between summer and winter.

Like the temperatures, the precipitation on Tokelau is more or less identical throughout the year. Every year between 2,000 and 4,000 mm of rain falls. Between April and November, with the trade winds from the east-southeast, slightly less humid air masses still come Tokelau. The precipitation then occurs somewhat more irregularly. When they fall, however, they are quite intense. In December and January there are especially a lot of rain in the form of violent tropical showers and thunderstorms. Then the atolls are also threatened by cyclones. With an amount of precipitation of 80 mm in one day, however, must be expected in every season.

Best travel time for Tokelau
Tokelau makes it easy for professionals to recommend an ideal time to go to vacationers. Because basically you can visit the three atolls 365 days a year. In terms of climate, the traveler will always experience the pure South Pacific. This always includes high but not too hot air and water temperatures as well as lots of sunshine. But in an island state almost directly on the equator, sometimes violent tropical showers and thunderstorms as well as high humidity are part of everyday life.

Since the rains are particularly heavy in December and January, vacationers should avoid these months best. But for the rest of the time, nothing stands in the way of a dream vacation during the most beautiful weeks of the year. And when one or the other shower brings a bit of cooling, some holidaymakers are certainly a little grateful. For more information about the continent of Oceania, please check neovideogames.com.
