There are many things to do in Krabi, many of which are so famous that you go all the way to Krabi because of them. Sea excursions, diving, climbing and sunbathing are popular activities.
However, Krabi can also do things for which it is not famous and which can give both a beach and an active holiday an extra kick. In Krabi, for example, you can ride a go-kart, ride in wonderful places, go on an adventure in Ao Luek, or go on an organized excursion to go to the beach at sunset or go on an island adventure in the evening.

Go Kart, or go-karting, is reasonably priced in Thailand compared to Europe, and one of the most accessible places to visit for anyone is the Krabi Kart Speedway between Ao Nang and the city of Krabi . You can get there by yourself even by taxi, and there is also a free transfer from Ao Nang to those who buy at least two admission tickets.
There are a variety of go-karts on the track with engines from 270 to 560cc, and also go-karts for two, with which even couples can cool down together. With a small car you can drive for 800 baht, or a little over 20 euros for 10 minutes. There is also paintball, archery and other pastimes in the same place, and it’s a pretty versatile place that’s open from 9am to 6pm. Tickets can be purchased not only from travel agencies and stalls in Ao Nang and the city of Krabi, but only on the track or in advance, even from Krabi Trek .
From horseback riding, swim with a horse or visit wonderful places on horseback
Quite close to the main places of Ao Nang and the port of Nammao is the Krabi Equestrian Center, which is a diverse place. There you can ride and from there you can go riding elsewhere, i.e. in Krabi you can ride completely in nature, on the beach and also swim or ride in the water. There are many different possibilities, but the shorter the time involved, the more the ratio becomes the price.
One hour of riding on the beach costs 1000 baht, two hours on the beach and in the jungle 1500 baht, half a day on the beach, in the jungle or water 2100 baht, all day riding in these places and also elsewhere 3000 baht and at sunset and early evening from around 6 pm riding on the beach and elsewhere an hour , and it costs 1,500 baht. There are other possibilities, and horseback riding enthusiasts can also see some of Krabi’s natural wonders on horseback. In the morning, you can go horseback riding at about 8.30–12 or 13–17. in a tiger cave a few kilometers from the city of Krabi. It is also possible to go horse riding in the emerald green pool and the nearby hot spring. They are quite far from Ao Nang and even further away from other places, but from 8.30 am to 4 pm you can see quite a number of different wonders of the nature park and can ride for three hours. The 3,000 baht rate includes lunch and a swimsuit is included, as you can swim in both the hot spring and the cool streams nearby.
For those who enjoy both horse riding and kayaking, there is an all-day excursion to Ao Thalane from 8.30am to 4pm. This trip also includes a three-hour riding bump, and its specialty is that you can see the lagoons, jungle and other natural wonders of Krabi from a kayak ride.
All packages include round trip transportation, and perhaps the best thing is to go to a booth in Ao Nang or Krabi town or to a travel agency for a brochure and information. Tickets are also purchased from them, and a ticket can always be purchased the same morning. If you leave early, the ticket is best taken care of the night before. Some excursions are popular and sold out, so if you absolutely like to ride, you might want to ask about it in the first days of your stay. Especially in late December, early January and during the winter holidays in February, horseback riding trips are popular.
